Who are we?

We are …

A diverse, caring, loving people with a heart for our community on a mission to do God’s will.

We are a congregation of moderate Baptists serving this community since 1929.

What are Moderate Baptists?

We believe Jesus is the true Son of God

part of an equal trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus came to save us from our sins

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

We believe women are equally qualified to serve as leaders 

including the roles of pastor, deacon and teacher

We believe we are called to love everyone even if we believe they are living in sin

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”    Romans 3:23

We believe the Bible is God’s Holy and inspired Word.

Through the Holy Spirit we are guided to the Truth regardless of translation.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  Romans 10:17

We believe in freedom of religion

Baptists led the fight in America for separation of church and state and the freedom of all to worship as they please.

We believe in the priesthood of the believer

We believe all Christian believers are in a personal relationship with God

We believe in Believer Baptism by full-immersion

We believe Baptism is an outward expression of a conscious decision to accept Christ as Savior

We believe in a congregational form of government

All members have a say in the running of the church
